Quang Ninh province prepared for picking up the Kong Skull Island crew in Ha Long Bay on March 16-18, 2016.

On March 15, the movie screw is scheduled to leave Ninh Binh for Halong Bay, the Natural World Heritage in Quang Ninh province, to prepare for other shots.

The cast and crew of Hollywood movie Kong: Skull Island will come to Tuan Chau Island in the northern province of Quang Ninh to start filming at Ha Long Bay on the largest motion picture ever to be filmed in the country.

About 220 film crew members, including nearly 20 actors, is underway and will last at Ha Long Bay. The filming process is scheduled to complete on March 18.

Mr. Ha Quang Long, a manager of Quang Ninh province said that the province prepared for some infrastructural materials to serve activiites at the film-making crew. The provincial People’s Committee said everything has been done to welcome the film crew in order to create a golden opportunity for the province to promote its images to international friends.

Earlier, the film staff of the Hollywood movie “Kong: Skull Island ” shot its first scenes in the northern province of Ninh Binh and the central Quang Binh province for the filming of the movie.

Gregg Brillant, a film crew member, said “Kong: Skull Island ” will commence a series of legendary monsters movies, including Godzilla (to be screened in 2018) and Godzilla vs Kong (to stomp through theatres in 2020).

Vietnam is one of the three destinations selected for filming, in addition to Hawaii and Australia , due to its wild and marvelous natural scenes.The movie stars include Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Toby Kebbell, John Ortiz, Corey Hawkins, John C.Reilly, Tom Wilkison, Thomas Mann, John Goodman, and Samuel L.Jackson.
